Installing The Mat |
July 27, 2005
After 5 years of picking up and putting down mats before/after EVERY class we finally installed our permanent mat.

First we installed a half inch of high-perfermance foam. The very same foam used in Dr. Schol's sneaker inserts no less. |
Then we taped it down, giving ourselves a few lanes to run some competitive sprints because at 95º it just wasn't warm enough up there. |
| Then came the mats. |
One at a time. |
46 and a half total |

| Paul Krymse isn't a surgeon but he plays one at the dojo. |
In order to make the mat fit around a wall, we had to do a little liposuction. |
Followed by some origami. |
| But it's done. |
Even our Shomen is coming along. |
